Perry Groves has slammed Kai Havertz after yet another 'poor' performance for Arsenal on Saturday.

The pundit has been speaking on talkSPORT's Premier League All Access Podcast and highlighted Havertz's first touch in the game.

Havertz has endured a difficult start to life at Arsenal and is yet to find his place in Mikel Arteta's side.

The 24-year-old arrived from Chelsea over the summer and eyebrows were raised when Arsenal paid PS65 million to sign him.

He's managed just two goal involvements in 12 Premier League games, with Arteta seemingly struggling to work out his best position.

And Perry Groves feels he was way below par once again against Burnley, despite Arsenal securing a 3-1 win.

Groves claims Havertz was 'poor' for Arsenal vs Burnley Speaking on Premier League All Access, Groves claimed that Havertz's first touch was way off on Saturday.

"He was poor, he was poor yesterday," the pundit said. "His first touch, his first touch kept bouncing off him."

He wasn't at his best on Saturday though and he doesn't seem well-suited to playing in that left-sided central midfield role.

But it's still early days and the German has shown he can provide a different type of option for Arteta due to his ability in the air.

Yet, if he's to secure his place in this Arsenal side for the long-term future, he will need to make dramatic improvements in the final third.

His work-rate off the ball can't be faulted but he's clearly lacking in confidence at the moment.
