Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino faces a selection headache as key players Enzo Fernandez and Axel Disasi are major doubts for Monday's Premier League clash against Everton.
The Blues' injury woes deepened on Friday with the release of the latest fitness report, revealing a staggering 11 first-team players sidelined.
Adding to the concern, Fernandez and Disasi, who both picked up knocks in the disappointing 2-2 draw against Sheffield United, are currently undergoing medical assessments.
Pochettino remained tight-lipped on the availability of the pair for the upcoming match, but they're likely to sit out the crucial battle with another relegation-threatened team.
"We will see," Pochettino said in his pre-match press conference.
"They are under assessment.
They have different types of issues.
We don't believe they are big issues, but we will see if they can be available.
"At the moment, they have not trained after Sheffield [United].
We do not know if they can be involved or not for Monday.
"Pochettino admitted that the growing injury crisis may force him to look to the club's academy for fresh legs ahead of Monday's showdown.
"I think they are so close, in the way we are working, the coaching staff, we are working so close to the academy," he explained.
"Because of the circumstances, also, for us to invite every week young players from the academy to train with us.
That is a good opportunity for them to show their quality.
"Disasi's injury could see Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah retain their partnership at the heart of the defence while Malo Gusto returns to right back.
Fernandez's absence could relieve Conor Gallagher from a shocking role at left wing, redeploying him to the middle of the park alongside Moises Caicedo.
With Raheem Sterling out sick, Mykhailo Mudryk should return to the flank, while Cole Palmer steps into the creative number ten position.
After scoring in the 2-2 draw at Bramall Lane, Noni Madueke may have done enough to keep his place on the right wing, leaving Nicolas Jackson to lead the line, in search of his first goal since the international break.
Chelsea potential starting line-up: (4-2-3-1): Dorde Petrovic, Malo Gusto, Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Conor Gallagher, Cole Palmer, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson.
