Reports have shared why Jose Mourinho has not been attending Chelsea games since making his return to England.

According to The Telegraph, the former boss lives so close to Stamford Bridge that he can hear the crowd react to goals and other big moments.

Mourinho has been out of work since January, when he was sacked by Roma. He had been doing a good job with the Serie A side, particularly in the Europa League.

Jose Mourinho spotted at Fulham vs Liverpool His name has rung around matchgoing supporters both home and away this season when they have endured rough moments, aiming their frustrations at current manager Mauricio Pochettino and owner Todd Boehly.

A return to the hotseat would not see the Portuguese boss move too far from home, with him living just down the road from Stamford Bridge.

He was spotted in attendance at Fulham's most recent game against Liverpool, fueling speculation that a Premier League return could be on the cards.

Too much fuss for Mourinho to attend Chelsea games Some wondered why they had not seen him at Chelsea games yet, however a simple explanation has emerged from an article off the back of an interview with Mourinho.

He believes the fuss it would cause is something that is just not worth going through, with media outlets likely to have a great time with rumour pieces if he was spotted in attendance.

If Pochettino is sacked at the end of the season, it is unlikely that Mourinho would actually be considered for a third stint at the club, with there being plenty of questions already as to how he would get on with the current owners who play a big part behind the scenes.
