Source:Hitc

HITC understands Tottenham Hotspur have asked Chelsea about Trevoh Chalobah and could launch a double raid as they gear up their move for Conor Gallagher.

The 2023/24 Premier League season has concluded, with Ange Postecoglou guiding the team to a fifth-placed finish and a spot in the Europa League.

Tottenham missed out on Europe altogether last season, so there has been progression on the field of play after Harry Kane's move to Bayern Munich last summer.

Heading into the upcoming transfer window, there will be no Kane cloud hovering above Tottenham's head and they can focus on improving the squad.

Tottenham's transfer interest in Conor Gallagher & Trevoh Chalobah Spurs' interest in Conor Gallagher has been known for months and they are widely expected to press ahead with a move in the coming weeks.

HITC can now reveal that the north London club, who want another central defender this summer, have an interest in bringing Trevoh Chalobah across the capital.

Micky van de Ven was a marquee signing for the club last summer and he made a huge impact in his debut campaign, with his speed and ability to defend open spaces proving to be standout.

The Dutchman partnered the World Cup winner Cristian Romero at the heart of the defence this season, with January signing, Radu Dragusin, as the backup after he replaced Eric Dier.

Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Wolves have all shown an interest in Chalobah, whilst there are a number of clubs in the Bundesliga and Serie A who are keen.

The 24-year-old has come through the academy at Stamford Bridge and he missed the first half of the campaign through injury.

The versatile defender didn't play his first Premier League match until February during the 1-1 draw at Manchester City and has since been a regular for the under-fire Mauricio Pochettino.

HITC is also told that Chalobah would prefer to remain at Chelsea, but the club's hierarchy have made it clear they want to move him on.

The West London club finished sixth in the Premier League table after struggles throughout and their Europa League spot will be confirmed if Manchester City beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday at Wembley.
