Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is no closer to signing a new deal at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona amid links to Chelsea.
Fabrizio Romano recently reported on Substack that Napoli have made a contract proposal to Victor Osimhen but there is still "no agreement".
It could be good news for Chelsea and John Obi Mikel, who would love to see his compatriot at Stamford Bridge.
Osimhen is having another good season at Napoli, already scoring six goals in his first eight Serie A appearances.
Victor Osimhen yet to sign a new contract at Napoli The longer this goes on, the more hopeful Chelsea and other sides will be about signing Osimhen.
The Nigerian's current contract expires in 2025, so if Aurelio De Laurentiis cannot get him to put pen to paper on a new deal soon, then he is going to have to consider a sale.

It would obviously be a huge blow for Napoli, as Osimhen was the man who led the club to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season.
That is not Chelsea's problem, though, with the Blues needing to find someone who can help them to win a league title.
They have not finished first in the Premier League since 2017, but maybe Osimhen will be able to change that.
Mauricio Pochettino's side are far from a title challenge right now, though. What they need to be concentrating on is qualifying for the Champions League, but even that looks like a bit of a stretch at this moment in time, with the Blues currently sitting 10th in the table.
