MATCH CENTRE: ENGLAND v SLOVENIA
Conor Gallagher says England are already looking forward to their next game at EURO 2024, following Thursday's 1-1 draw with Denmark. The Three Lions had to settle for a point in Frankfurt after Harry Kane's opener was cancelled out by Morten Hjumand's long-range strike. It leaves England on top of Group C with a game to play, knowing that a result against Slovenia next Tuesday will secure a spot in the knockout stages.
"It was a tough game and we know we can do a lot better than what we showed," said the Chelsea midfielder.
"Credit to Denmark, they played well and they're a good side but we've got to look at ourselves and where we can improve.
"When you look at it, a point is not the worst result and we're looking forward to the next game."
Harry Kane opened the scoring against Denmark in Thursday's game Gallagher was introduced as a substitute early in the second half as England looked to find the winning goal which would've sealed qualification for the round of 16.
And the 24 year old revealed what his aim was once he'd replaced Trent Alexander-Arnold in the centre.
"The instruction was just to give a bit of energy and pressure on the ball and try to keep the ball better than what we were doing to try and control the game," he explained.
"We know that if we're going to win the tournament we've got to play better, so we'll look to improve how we're playing on and off the ball.
"The good thing is that we know we can do better so that's something to look at."
The game with Slovenia in Cologne takes place at 8pm BST on Tuesday 25 June.
