Broja has always been expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after failing to make an impression in Chelsea's first-team.

The striker impressed during a loan spell at Southampton three seasons ago but a 10-month injury layoff has hampered his development.

In 2023/24, he would score just two goals in 19 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's side before spending the second-half of the campaign on loan at Fulham.

It was hoped the move would revive his career and net the Blues a hefty paycheck, but Marco Silva gave him just 88 minutes of action over eight games and he failed to find the back of the net.

With the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku ahead in the pecking order and with more forwards like Marc Guiu, Jhon Duran and Omari Kellyman linked with Stamford Bridge, Broja seems to have no future in west London.

Now, Chelsea will waste no time in selling off the 22-year-old, with The Athletic reporting that Todd Boehly and co. want to get their transfer business all done and dusted within the next few weeks.

Though they put in gallant performances, Albania, as predicted, finished bottom of Group B after they lost 1-0 to Spain and Croatia drew 1-1 with Italy.

Chelsea once valued the striker, who has four years left to run on his contract, as high as PS50million, but they've lowered their asking price to PS35m.

Despite his struggling form there is much interest in Broja from Champions League clubs around Europe as well as Everton and Wolves of the Premier League.

It is noted however that the Toffees would probably have to sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin first if they wanted the Albanian, something that seems increasingly unlikely after Newcastle pulled their interest in the English No.9.
