Chelsea are not in discussions with Spanish side Seville over a loan deal for Marc Guiu according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have completed a deal for the 18-year-old after activating the EUR6m release clause in his Barcelona contract, which they saw as a brilliant opportunity in the market for a talented player.
Despite signing the striker, it's been reported Chelsea are still looking to bring another striker in to compete with Nicolas Jackson, and they have been strongly linked with Lille's Jonathan David recently.
Chelsea not in discussions with Seville over Guiu loan The signing of Guiu sees the Blues continue their strategy of recruiting the best young talent from around the world.
The 18-year-old chose Chelsea over staying at Barcelona despite the Spanish giants offering him a new deal and reports in Spain suggested he was close to joining Seville on loan.
However, Romano has stated the clubs aren't in discussions over a loan for Guiu, as Chelsea haven't planned to loan the youngster out at this point.
He took to X.com and said:
"Chelsea and Sevilla are currently not discussing any loan move for Marc Guiu despite reports. Chelsea didn't plan for Guiu loan so far, club want him to do pre-season under Enzo Maresca."

Guiu will have the opportunity to impress Enzo Maresca in Chelsea's pre-season tour of America at the end of July, and prove to his new manager that he deserves to be part of the first team squad.
The teenager came through the ranks of Barcelona's famous La Masia academy and broke into the first team under Xavi last season, making seven appearances.
More Stories / Latest News The striker had a debut to remember as he scored 23 seconds after coming off the bench against Athletic Bilbao, whilst he also scored in the Champions League against Belgian side Royal Antwerp.
The signing of Guiu is arguably a win win situation for the Blues as even if he doesn't make it at Stamford Bridge they will be in line to make a profit on a player who cost just PS5m.
