Chelsea's attempt to sign a PS40m-rated player this summer has just been given the green light by the new head coach.
Enzo Maresca, 44, was appointed the new Chelsea boss this summer. He officially begins work on 1 July.
The Blues have a structure in place with the co-sporting directors overseeing transfers, but it's good to hear the head coach is giving his opinion on potential targets.
When you consider Maresca plays a clear possession-based style of football, it's important his squad aligns with that idea.
He shared that Maresca has approved the decision to move for the 25-year-old star. In fact, he's given a glowing verdict on the player he coached last season at the King Power Stadium.
Enzo Maresca has also approved the decision to proceed with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hill for Chelsea.
Already yesterday night, #CFC manager spent good words for KDH as ideal option for the midfield.

BBC Sport has said that Chelsea's first offer to sign Dewsbury-Hall has fallen below Leicester's PS40m asking price.
On top of that, Romano claimed via X that Chelsea are discussing including David Datro Fofana and Cesare Casadei in the deal for Dewsbury-Hall.
More talks will happen on Saturday Romano has further reported on X that Chelsea and Leicester will talk again on Saturday (today) about Dewsbury-Hall.
It is understood that the left-footed central midfielder has already given an indication that personal terms won't be an issue, but the clubs will need to reach an agreement first before any transfer happens.
Chelsea and Leicester City will talk again about Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall today as #CFC insist to include at least one player in separate deal.

Dewsbury-Hall had the best season of his career to date last year, where Maresca managed to make him a key part of Leicester's success.
The box-to-box midfielder finished last season with 12 goals and 15 assists across all competitions.
If Maresca thinks he's ready to make an impact at Chelsea, the club should back him.
