England boss has spoken of the importance of Crystal Palace star

The Premier League 'big six' have all been reminded of key transfer target Marc Guehi's talent following England's 2-1 win over Slovakia in the European Championships.

Guehi has played all four of England's Euros fixtures and has been an exceptionally impressive addition to the starting XI. However, after being booked inside three minutes in Sunday's last 16 triumph over Slovakia - his second booking of the tournament - the 23-year-old centre-back will now miss the Three Lions' quarter-final game against Switzerland.

The Eagles star has become a pivotal member of the starting XI, filling what many thought would be a huge void left by the injured Harry Maguire. Guehi has formed a formidable partnership with John Stones and the Manchester City star has already spoken out of the 23-year-old's talent.

His impressive England displays, however, have reignited such attention and the most recent reports suggest that Chelsea are the bookies' favourites to take Guehi out of Croydon this summer, three years after letting him go to Selhurst Park for PS18m.

The Stamford Bridge club are seeking to bolster their defensive line-up and, having already signed Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from Fulham, both Guehi and Bologna's Riccardo Calafiori have been linked to join him. However, the race of Guehi will not be an easy one with Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all credited with strong interests in the
