Former Premier League striker says Chelsea player needs to start next Euros match
Source:Chelsea News

One former Premier League player has said that a Chelsea player needs to start the next match for his country during this summer's Euros.

It's been a busy and entertaining summer of football so far with the Euros and Copa America on, and both competitions have provided us with some great games to watch so far.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea now keen on signing versatile Bayern Munich attacker this summer! The Euros are into the knockout stages now and it was England's turn to play last night. As they have been all through this competition so far, England were awful last night against Slovakia and just got really lucky in the end to go through.

Slovakia had the lead most of the game until a late bit of magic from Jude Bellingham saved England and Gareth Southgate's blushes. Harry Kane then manged to get on the end of a mis-hit shot which Ivan Toney managed to get his head to in order to glance in Kane's direction, and he couldn't miss.

Southgate NEEDS improvements ImagePalmer came on as a sub against Slovakia Southgate needs to quit or be sacked from England anyway, his time is up. But before that, he needs his players to step up more, and he needs to step up to and stop being so overly cautious all the time.

Stepping up for me means starting Cole Palmer, and Premier League legend Alan Shearer, and SO many others, feel the same.

As cited on X, Shearer said: "I would keep (Cole) Palmer in I would bring Gordon in. I would keep Mainoo in because he's done enough."

Well, I don't think there is many people who would disagree with this, especially Chelsea fans. But I reckon Southgate might disagree with it.

They're lucky to still be in the Euros and they didn't even deserve to get out of the group but got lucky there as well. You need luck in football, and maybe that's a sign for England!
