AC Milan are continuing to pursue a new striker and there seems to be some confusion about exactly who might arrive, at least according to the latest update.
As Sky confirm, the search for a new centre-forward is top of the to-do list for the management and Romelu Lukaku - whose Euro 2024 campaign ended last night as Belgium lost to France - has decided to take a few days to reflect on his future.
If on the one hand Napoli cannot move for him until they sell Victor Osimhen (who is wanted in the Middle East and in the Premier League), Milan remains vigilant on the Belgian but have not yet presented an offer to Chelsea.
They must find a strategy to convince the player on the salary front given that he currently earns an amount at Chelsea that the management are not willing to pay. In addition to that, they must find an agreement with the Blues over the formula and amounts.
For this reason, Milan remain interested in Artem Dovbyk with new contacts having been registered after Ukraine's exit from the European Championship. Only once the full picture has been defined will the Rossoneri make concrete moves for the striker.
Milan will continue to try for Joshua Zirkzee too, even if Manchester United seem to be the team that are now leading the race despite all the work Geoffrey Moncada and co. did on the Dutchman.
