Archie Gray makes Ange Postecoglou admission as two Chelsea men 'eyed' as Victor Osimhen replacement
Source:Latest News

Chelsea and Tottenham will already be hard at work behind the scenes as they look to improve on last season's efforts. The Blues actually managed a strong finish but wound up moving on from Mauricio Pochettino, adding plenty of intrigue to the coming season, with Enzo Maresca expected to hit the ground running given the talent in his squad.

Ange Postecoglou needs more consistency from his men after missing out on the top four, but he will feel as though it is reach providing there are a couple of quality additions. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the two clubs.

Napoli eye Chelsea menNapoli are said to be considering two Chelsea players as they look to replace Victor Osimhen this summer. The striker is expected to move on to pastures new this summer, and he will likely net Napoli more than PS100million.

But a replacement must be found, and strikers rarely come cheap. According to agent Serxiho Mezi, Napoli are not only considering Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku but Armando Borja as well. He told 1 Football Club (via TuttoJuve): "Osimhen? There is no margin for him to remain at Napoli. Work has been underway for some time to replace him and the two names on the list are Broja, for whom the Azzurri are the main interested parties in Italy, the only problem could be Napoli's failure to participate in the Champions League; the other name is Lukaku."

Broja suffered a big injury last year and joined Fulham for the second half of the season. He said after his return from injury: "The whole process was long, but it was a massive learning curve. It was a massive chance to engage with the group, my family, myself, learn about the game and watch every game from the outside.

"It was a big point in my life, something to deal with personally and mentally. It changed me mentally and how I think about dealing with things. It was a difficult period, but I'm so happy it's in the past. Now I want to push forward and keep on going. I feel better than ever and now my knee is almost back to how it was. I feel good and happy. I just can't wait now to hopefully get more opportunities and kick on from there. I want to help the team out as much as possible and I feel ready in myself to do just that."

Gray shirt number and first wordsArchie Gray is now a Tottenham player after joining on a player-plus-cash deal that saw Joe Rodon join Leeds United. Gray was a crucial part of the Leeds side that reached the playoff final last season despite being just 18 years of age. Following his arrival in North London, Spurs confirmed Gray will take the number 14 shirt that was previously held by Joe Rodon.

Gray told the club channel after penning his deal: "It's a massive club and it's an opportunity I couldn't really turn down. I'm really excited to play and get started with the team. It still hasn't sunk in, and I don't think it will for the next few days until we have played a few games and I have had the opportunity to meet everyone. It's massive opportunity for me and I'm just really excited."

He added: "When Spurs came and I had the opportunity to play in the Champions League eventually and the Europa League this year, I couldn't say no. I've known so many players who have been here, not so much the first team, but the young players. It's a massive project under Ange and something I want to be part of. I'm not going to lie, I'm a massive Celtic fan. I love him, and my whole family love him. I haven't really said this, to be fair. He is also a massive factor because playing under a really good manager is really important for me. I'm still only 18 and I have a lot to learn."
