Alexander Isak has emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea this summer, but the Blues have seemingly turned their attention elsewhere.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel as a potential signing this summer as they search to strengthen Enzo Maresca's attacking options. Tel scored seven goals in the Bundesliga last season and was often shifted out wide to accommodate Harry Kane following his move from Tottenham Hotspur.

Signing Tel would be a statement of intent for Chelsea - and one that would likely end their interest in Isak. The Swedish international starred for the Magpies last season, with only Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer scoring more Premier League goals than him last season.

Despite reiterating his commitment to the club on numerous occasions in the last few months, Isak has still been linked with a big-money move away from St James' Park with Chelsea among the clubs credited with an interest in him. Speaking about reported transfer interest at the end of last season, he said: "I came here for the project.

"I absolutely love playing here, I really feel at home. I want to finish the season in a good way for me and the team. I love playing here."
