Chelsea have already made quite the effort to get some money in the bank since this footballing financial year started on July 1.
The sale of Ian Maatsen and Omari Hutchinson, as well as Lewis Hall who spent last season on loan with an obligation to buy, has seen PS80m hit the accounts already.
While there will be some fans who are frustrated the profit is coming at the expense of some of their promising young talent, the money made available for new signings is hard to argue with.
However, it has emerged that one first team player is actually available for a much lower fee than many would be looking for this summer.
Fabrizio Romano has stated that Carney Chukwuemeka has a release clause in his contract that allows him to leave for a modest fee.
"Every approach for potential loan in the recent months has been rejected so far."

Even though selling Chukwuemeka now for that price would see them double their money on him, very few want to see him leave at this point.
The midfielder endured a really rough campaign as far as injuries go last time out, meaning he was hardly able to feature for the Blues.
However, he was named in the starting side for the first two games of the Premier League season, suggesting there was a lot of hope in what he could achieve in his first full campaign at Stamford Bridge.
It remains to be seen if any club comes in to trigger that clause to test Chukwuemeka's feelings on staying at the club, with more regular first team football surely available elsewhere.
However, he has the opportunity to prove to new manager Enzo Maresca that he is worthy of that game time at Chelsea too.
