From nowhere, after seeming totally dead for a long time, Chelsea have been linked suddenly with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen once again.
This time, the idea is that Romelu Lukaku would go to Napoli, in some sort of unofficial swap for the striker. Ben Jacobs went on the London is Blue podcast to speak about the situation a little, and he wasn't nearly as positive about the arrangements as some of the rumours from earlier were.
He was very clear that Chelsea wouldn't pay the release clause (obviously), and even pointed out that Napoli would still want EUR80m or more if Lukaku were to go the other way. That's just as impossible, from the Blues' point of view, and that's before you even start to think about wages.
"Chelsea are not prepared to go that high," he said confidently.
