‘Similar to Cole Palmer’: Journalist claims Chelsea have ‘discussed’ a transfer move for Man City player

Manchester City have shown that they aren't against sealing deals to see their players join fellow Premier League sides.

Whether it be on temporary loan spells or permanent deals, City have seen the likes of Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Kalvin Phillips, James McAtee, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Tommy Doyle leave the Etihad Stadium to join other sides in the top-flight.

With some weeks left until the latest summer transfer window closes, one of City's Premier League colleagues have added a current name in Pep Guardiola's squad to their target list.

He said: "I know that Oscar Bobb was a newer name that's been thrown into the mix.

"Nothing is close at this point. People like the Joe Shields recommendation and the fact that he might end up being very similar to Cole Palmer, and the advantage, like Palmer, is he can play winger or attacking-midfielder.

"But at this stage, Manchester City think he's staying and the player is with them and getting game time. I think he's scored against Celtic as well in pre-season.

"There's nothing close there but that's another name that Chelsea have at least discussed internally to add to the many on the right side."

City should keep hold of Bobb After making 114 combined appearances for City's academy, scoring 31 goals and providing 33 assists along the way, the Norwegian had his debut season in Guardiola's senior squad last season.

Across the 26 games he appeared in, Bobb found the back of the net twice and delivered the same number of assists.

As Jacobs mentioned Bobb's versatility, this is what Paul Dickov recently said people at City appreciate about the player in addition to his clear talent.

Even though the Blues have a track record when it comes to selling or loaning players to other top-flight clubs, we feel that they should have no intention of letting Bobb leave this summer.
