Report: Two PL clubs are now in negotiations to sign £30m striker Chelsea want
Source:The Chelsea

Chelsea are in a transfer battle with two other Premier League clubs to sign one striker it seems.

Chelsea have already brought in Marc Guiu from Barcelona, and the Spaniard has been able to make an impact in pre-season.

Guiu has caught the eyes of Chelsea fans with his displays versus Celtic and Wrexham. However, he is still just 18 and the Blues remain in the market for another centre-forward by the looks of things.

There is a possibility of Napoli's Victor Osimhen joining Chelsea in a swap deal, but he is not the only striker who appears to be on their radar right now.

To sign another, though, they may need to see off competition from West Ham United and Leicester City.

West Ham and Leicester have now registered their interest in Wahi, making it a three-way battle between the Premier League trio for his signature.

In fact, according to L'Equipe, West Ham and Leicester are actually in negotiations with RC Lens to sign the 21-year-old.

Lens only bought Wahi from Montpellier in a PS30m deal last summer, but it looks like he could already be on the move.

Elye Wahi could be Nicolas Jackson's deputy Last season, Nicolas Jackson was the first-choice striker at Stamford Bridge. In total, he made 44 appearances and scored 17 goals.

It is a lot of games he played, especially for a 22-year-old, the age he was at the time. On that note, it could make a lot of sense bringing in Wahi.

The Frenchman's goalscoring record in Ligue 1 is pretty decent. He scored 19 goals in his final season at Montpellier before netting nine times for Lens last term.

As the No.1 striker, Chelsea fans would have some doubts about the France U21 international. But if he is coming in to support Jackson rather than replace him, he could be a smart addition to Enzo Maresca's squad.
