Jackson, Dewsbury-Hall - Chelsea injury and return dates vs Club America

Chelsea are gearing up for their next pre-season friendly of the summer when they face Club America.

The Blues are currently in the United States as new manager Enzo Maresca continues to assess his squad ahead of his first season at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea's pre-season tour across the Atlantic is set to continue over the next couple of weeks.

Last week saw the Blues fall to a 4-1 defeat to Celtic, which came days after being held to a 2-2 draw with Wrexham. Now Chelsea will prepare to face Mexican outfit Club America at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday night.

Despite it still being the early days of pre-season, Maresca is being forced to deal with several injury concerns. football.london has taken a look at Chelsea's current injury list and potential return dates ahead of the fixture against Club America.

Nicolas Jackson Nicolas Jackson is currently recovering from an ankle injury he suffered earlier in the summer while featuring for Senegal.

The Blues striker is edging closer to a return and has even travelled with the Chelsea squad to the US for the pre-season tour. However, it remains to be seen if Jackson will feature in any of the friendlies against Club America, Real Madrid, Manchester City or Inter Milan.

Real Madrid are Chelsea's final opponents in the US before returning to England. The Blues will hope to give the striker valuable minutes before flying back to West London.

Potential return date: Real Madrid (N) - August 6

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall The new Chelsea summer signing has been recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in the final weeks of last season during his time at Leicester City.

Dewsbury-Hall is yet to feature for the Blues during the pre-season friendlies but is edging closer to a return. The midfielder has taken part in training but it remains to be seen when he will be deemed fit enough to feature in a match.

Chelsea will hope to have Dewsbury-Hall available for the friendly against Club America.

Potential return date: Club America (N) - July 31

Chelsea ended the 2023/24 Premier League season on a high, but it is never quiet at Stamford Bridge and the summer looks set to be one full of news, with question marks over Mauricio Pochettino's future at the club and plenty of talk around transfers.
