All of the latest Premier League transfer news, including Chelsea, Newcastle, and West Ham

We begin Wednesday's Premier League transfer rumour roundup with news of a tussle between Chelsea and Aston Villa. According to Sky Deutschland, both clubs are showing interest in Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier and have taken material steps to sign the 21-year-old.

It is claimed that the Bundesliga side have received 'concrete written enquires' from their Premier League counterpart for Beier, while Bayer Leverkusen are also hovering with intent. The forward's current deal in Germany lasts until 2027, and is understood to include a release clause of around PS25.3 million. For his part, Beier is widely expected to leave Hoffenheim in the near future.

The 3AM Verdict: Beier is a properly promising talent who scored 16 goals in 35 outings for Hoffenheim last season. If he truly is available for around PS25 million, then it makes perfect sense that both Villa and Chelsea are chasing him, and whichever side do nab him could be securing themselves a fine player for many years to come.

Toon eye MaduekeElsewhere, Newcastle United are considering making a move for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, according to TEAMtalk. The England youth international only signed for the Blues last summer, but is already attracting interest from their Premier League rivals, who could be in the market for a new winger if Miguel Almiron leaves the club.

To that end, Madueke would reportedly cost any prospective suitor around PS40 million, and it is unclear whether Newcastle have the means or the inclination to meet that valuation at this specific moment in time. For their part, the Blues are in a strong negotiating position given that the 22-year-old is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2030.

The 3AM Verdict: Madueke showed plenty of promise for Chelsea last season without ever truly establishing himself as an indispensable member of Mauricio Pochettino's side. Whether new manager Enzo Maresca will view him as unsellable, only time will tell, but certainly, if there was a way that Newcastle could prise him away from West London, he would be a very exciting acquisition.

West Ham keen on TorunarighaAnd finally, West Ham have reportedly identified KAA Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha as a potential centre-back recruit this summer. The Hammers have already signed Max Kilman in an effort to bolster Julen Lopetegui's ranks, but are understood to want at least one more player in that position, and believe the Nigerian could be a realistic option.

The 26-year-old is also a target for both Crystal Palace and Leeds United, and it is claimed by Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb that an offer of just PS4.2 million could be enough to convince Gent into a sale because the player is out of contract next year.

The 3AM Verdict: This would be a cheap and cheerful deal for a quality centre-back. Torunarigha may not be the biggest name, but he is still an admirable talent, and to that end, West Ham could do far worse. Interest from Palace and Leeds throws something of a spanner in the works, but if the Irons move swiftly, they could easily wrap this one up, you would assume.
