Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca spoke about Cole Palmer after his side's 1-0 win against Bournemouth over the weekend.

Cole Palmer is Chelsea's key man, but the attacker did not make too much of an impact at the Vitality Stadium.

Instead, it was Christopher Nkunku who proved to be the Blues' match-winner after scoring in the 86th minute, while Robert Sanchez also did his job in goal, saving a first-half penalty.

Alan Shearer thought Sanchez was "superb" against Bournemouth. Focusing on Palmer, though, Maresca had a warning for him following the game at the Vitality.

Now one of the standout attackers in the Premier League, Maresca has told Palmer to expect more of the same.

Speaking to PA Media about Palmer after the game, Maresca said: "This kind of player, they are going to always get this. Cook was marking him 95 minutes man-to-man - or 95 minutes maybe not because after we put him wide - but he had man-to-man all the game and it's not easy for Cole."

Palmer was one of the best players in the English top flight last season. In 33 appearances for Chelsea, he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists. Paul Merson now thinks Palmer could be sold for PS100m.

However, in the win against Bournemouth, there were signs that Chelsea's attack could become a bit more balanced this term.

Jadon Sancho came on in the second half and quickly became the Blues' biggest threat. Bournemouth's defence could not deal with the winger before he eventually set up Nkunku's goal.

Clinton Morrison thinks this is Sancho's "last chance". If it is, then the 24-year-old is already starting to take it.

Ultimately, based on Sancho's display at the Vitality, teams may have to worry about both him and Palmer when they take on Chelsea. It could lighten the latter's load.
