Bruno Fernandes remark shows what Man Utd squad really think of Jadon Sancho
Source:The Daily

Bruno Fernandes has shown Manchester United players still hold Jadon Sancho in high regard after praising the winger's impressive debut for Chelsea.

Sancho, 24, struggled to make an impact during his time at Old Trafford and had a publicised spat with manager Erik ten Hag, which led to him being exiled from the first team.

The England winger was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in search of more playing time and, although he performed well in Germany, he secured a deadline day loan move to Stamford Bridge, with an obligation for Chelsea to buy him for PS25million next summer.

Sancho made an instant impact at Chelsea, setting up Christopher Nkunku's winner against Bournemouth on Saturday after coming off the bench at half-time. His former team-mate Fernandes was quick to praise him, responding to Sancho's Instagram post celebrating the win with a photo of him and Nkunku.

Sancho wrote that he was "delighted" to mark his Chelsea debut with a win, and Fernandes commented: "Some player you [fire emoji] keep that smile.", reports the Mirror.

Sancho seemed revitalised during his loan spell at Dortmund, where he starting in 18 matches, netted a couple of goals and set up two more, cementing his place as a pivotal figure and featuring in the 2-0 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.

Now aiming to turn over a new leaf at Chelsea, Sancho dazzled in the match against Bournemouth, prompting boss Enzo Maresca to declare his admiration for the PS73m ace, urging him to stay on the grind.

"But the reason why I'm speaking to you is because I really like you. If you come here in the way that we want, we are happy. But if you come there and don't work hard, it's better if you don't come."
