The 27-year-old left-back won his first appearance for Chelsea this season from the bench on Tuesday as Chelsea thrashed Barrow 5-0 in the Carabao Cup.

Despite now training with the main squad at Cobham, his future remains uncertain at Stamford Bridge and club chiefs have kept the door open to a potential move away - according to the Mirror.

No concrete offers were received for the England international during the last transfer window after he was initially exiled from the first team by Maresca.

Brentford showed late interest but did not follow up, and Chelsea floated Chilwell to several Turkish Super Lig clubs as their transfer window remained open until September 13.

However, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Istanbul Basaksehir all decided not to follow up.

Chilwell, who was included in Chelsea's 25-man Premier League squad, was left out of the Blues' UEFA Conference League squad, indicating his playing time will be severely limited going forward.
