‘Gone up a level’: Peter Crouch thinks two Chelsea players have become so much better this season
Source:The Chelsea

So far it has been clear to see just how much Chelsea have improved in comparison to last season under Mauricio Pochettino.

A lot of the credit for that has to go to Enzo Maresca, who has got a large squad working in complete harmony so far.

The Italian has been pretty consistent with his team selection so far, with him seeming to have a side he trusts in Premier League action so far.

Without taking into account the brilliance of Cole Palmer, there have been a number of Chelsea players who have proven they are vital to what the club are doing right now.

Two of those are starting regularly in the middle of the park, with Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez playing every league game they have been fit for.

However, that has been difficult to aim at them this season, with Peter Crouch actually stating that he thinks both have improved greatly.

He said to 'That Peter Crouch Podcast': "Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez have gone up a level this year, they look like a proper pairing now."

Romeo Lavia pushing to return to Chelsea side It has been very difficult for anyone else to break into the midfield this season due to the South American pair's strong showings.

Romeo Lavia started the season with them in the middle of the park, however has only just returned from an injury suffered just after that game. There is still a lot of faith in what he can deliver this season.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is another player who has pushed to break into the starting side, and he will no doubt feel more confident about his place at the club after finding the net for the first time in the Conference League against Gent on Thursday.
