Enzo Maresca believes Chelsea's performance against Nottingham Forest on Sunday merited all three points - but he had no problems in paying the Reds a compliment as they left London having secured a 1-1 draw and a share of the spoils.
Forest signed off for the latest international break by adding another point to their impressive tally at the beginning of this new Premier League season; they've lost only one of their opening seven games and have taken four points from trips to Liverpool and now Chelsea.
They took the lead through Chris Wood, but were pegged back by Noni Madueke and had goalkeeper Matz Sels to thank as the ten men clung on towards the end following James Ward-Prowse's red card. Indeed they might've nicked all three points, too. Maresca admitted Nuno's Forest were difficult opponents.
RATINGS: Forest trio impress, Wood scores but Ward-Prowse sent off vs Chelsea
"I think we deserved to win," he told BBC Sport. "They are a very good team and we knew they would defend well. It was a tough and tricky game, very different to Brighton. We were patient on the ball and created chances.
"Overall the performance was good and I think we deserved to win. Their keeper was the best of the game. We created chances and arrived at goal in the way we want to."
