It has been revealed that Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has been one of the most creative players in the Premier League this season.
According to the football statistics website Whoscored.com, the Fulham star has created 14 chances from open play in the English top-flight, the same as Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon, which is the fifth highest in the division.
Only Chelsea star Cole Palmer, Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka and Tottenham Hotspur's Dejan Kulusevski have created more chances from open play than the Fulham star
Palmer leads the park with 21 chances created, followed by Silva with 19, Saka who has 17 and Kulusevski with 16 chances created for Tottenham
However, despite being one of the most creative players in the division and the best for Fulham, Iwobi has managed just one assist this season, which he bagged in the Cottagers' 3-1 win over Newcastle United.
He has started all of Fulham's Premier League games this season and he was omitted from the starting lineup twice, in the Carabao Cup second-round victory over Birmingham City and the loss to Preston North End in the third-round.
The 28-year-old is one of the players expected to arrive in the Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Libya.
