Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham may face triple impact from Tuchel to Man United
Source:Football.London -

Thomas Tuchel could be set for a managerial return to the Premier League with the former Chelsea boss again emerging as a potential candidate to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. According to football.london's sister title, the Manchester Evening News, United are considering Tuchel as Ten Hag's successor with some key meetings to take place this week.

Over the summer, Tuchel was one option to become United's next manager if the club parted ways with Ten Hag, however they opted to stick by the Dutchmen. Two months and just three wins later, Ten Hag's future at Old Trafford is again up for debate with United winless in five games.

Tuchel has been without a job since May after departing Bayern Munich, but looks open to a return to England with the Reds facing a number of big decisions over the international break. If Tuchel does ultimately come in at Man United, it could have major ramifications in the Premier League with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham to be impacted.

With that said, football.london has taken a look at three things that will have a higher chance of happening if Tuchel replaces Ten Hag.

Immediate trophy and top four threat Though his ability to provide long-term success can be questioned, Tuchel is a master at immediately turning fortunes round and United are in desperate need of that. In just five months at Chelsea, the German guided them to a stunning Champions League triumph and while a similar achievement is not possible, it certainly suggests he is capable of making a quick impact.

As they are languishing in 14th, United need points on the board and they need them to arrive as soon as possible. While a Premier League title charge is extremely unlikely, another domestic cup or even Europa League victory, given his joy on the continental stage, is entirely feasible.

An improvement in league form is another factor the likes of Chelsea and Spurs should be aware of especially with their ambitions to finish in the top four.

Two games with added incentive Though the majority of Chelsea supporters hold no disdain towards Tuchel, two games will have an added incentive if he is appointed by Man United. Historically, the Blues' games against United are often filled with goals and controversial moments - add a former manager to the mix and the magnitude of the game will undoubtedly increase.

Chelsea head to Old Trafford on Sunday, November 3 with the return fixture arriving in mid-May as the penultimate clash of the season. Though he remains proud of his time in west London, Tuchel will be determined to take maximum points from his old club.

On the other side of the action, it may not be as important with only four players still at the club that were present during Tuchel's reign. Nonetheless, supporters will be eager for their new-look side under Enzo Maresca to win both games.

New manager bounce impact Regardless of team, fixtures and the man incoming, 'a new manager bounce' has become a common term used in football and United would be hoping for it to be bestowed upon them if they hire Tuchel.

The 51-year-old also being known for his quick starts in new jobs helps matters drastically with the fixtures on the horizon further proof of the great impact he could have. Before the next international break, United face Brentford, Leicester (X2), Chelsea and PAOK at home while also travelling to Fenerbahce and West Ham.

Considering the games, which arrive in three different competitions, the Reds are capable of winning all seven and, being brutally honest, are in dire need of doing exactly that given their Premier League standing and start to the Europa League campaign.
