‘Top’: Marc Cucurella wowed by Chelsea teammate after his performance for his country

After Chelsea's strong start to the season, it perhaps should have been expected that their players would largely keep this up when on international debut.

A number of the players who have been just outside the starting side of late have begun to step up. Both Christopher Nkunku and Mykhailo Mudryk made a match-winning impact for their countries.

Not everyone has had things their own way, with superstar Cole Palmer struggling to make a real impact in his two outings for England this week.

Enzo Maresca has likely just been watching to hope that none of his key players suffered any injuries, with him staying pretty consistent with his team selection up to now.

He is going to have to make some changes next time out against Liverpool though, with Marc Cucurella one of the two starters who will be suspended.

It seems he did more than enough to gain the praise of Cucurella, who described his display on Veiga's Instagram as 'top'.

Veiga to replace Cucurella vs Liverpool Manchester United's Diogo Dalot was also left impressed by the youngster's performance, as Portugal picked up a 3-1 win over Poland.

His next Chelsea game though is likely to be his biggest test since joining the club, although presents a real chance for him to prove that he should be considered for a place in the side on a more regular basis.
