Josh Acheampong made his debut for the Chelsea first team last season, coming on in a 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur.

It was a game where Josh Acheampong got to play alongside the likes of Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and Moises Caicedo.

The right-back was looking forward to getting to share the Stamford Bridge pitch with Palmer. However, there was another individual whom he also wanted to play alongside.

Since then, Acheampong has gone on to make one more appearance for the Chelsea first team, which came against Barrow in the Carabao Cup last month. Enzo Maresca praised Acheampong for being brave during that game.

The central defender was someone whom Acheampong really wanted to play with, and he got the chance to in that London derby.

When asked which players he was looking forward to playing alongside the most, the 18-year-old told Chelsea's official website: "I'd say Cole Palmer and then Chalobah because he'd always give me a lot of advice, and luckily he was on the pitch when I came on."

Chalobah remains on Chelsea's books, but the 25-year-old is currently at Crystal Palace on a season-long loan.

Chalobah recently suggested that Madueke is progressing at Chelsea, with the winger scoring in the Blues' 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest just before the international break.

Of course, with Malo Gusto only three years older than him, he could find it really difficult to break into the starting XI, while the Blues also still have Reece James in their squad.

Whether Acheampong goes on to have an important role or not at Chelsea, it is unlikely that he will get another chance to play alongside Chalobah in a blue shirt.

Although Chalobah has only joined Palace on loan, his time in west London looks to be over. Chelsea have quite a few centre-back options, while Chalobah was frozen out in the summer before his move to the Eagles.
