Chelsea will be watching Estevao Willian's development with excitement ahead of the winger's move to Stamford Bridge next summer. The Blues confirmed back in June that they'd reached an agreement to sign the teenager with him completing the transfer in the summer of 2025.

Since then, the 17-year-old has gone from strength to strength, raising excitement about his imminent move. In the early hours of Monday morning UK time, Estevao was in action for Palmeiras as they took on Juventude in the Brasileirao.

He scored one and assisted another as his team came out as 5-3 winners. That was his eighth and ninth goal involvement in just the last six league games he has played.

It was also his first start since returning from missing two games with a hamstring injury. He did however play 24 minutes from the bench in the 0-0 draw with Red Bull Bragantino earlier in the month.

The teenager's impressive goal involvement stats this season have now seen him break a record previously held by Neymar. According to Fabrizio Romano, he has become the player, aged 17 or under to record the most goals or assists in a single season in the Brazilian top league.

Estevao has a total of 18 goals and assists this campaign, breaking the record held by Neymar during his time with his first club Santos. The now 32-year-old recorded 16 goals involvements in his breakthrough season with the club.

He went on to become one of the biggest names in football in recent years, playing for Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain. He is now playing in Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal.

Speaking earlier this month, Estevao has big ambitions for his own development at Chelsea."I know my potential, I know that I can do even more and, of course, we are slowly looking for it," he said.

"I think I have the potential to be my best self. And the best thing for me, God willing, is to be at the World Cup and be the best in the world. I think that depends a lot on me."
