Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is yet to make his first Premier League start for Chelsea. This might change at the weekend, as Chelsea visit Leicester.
The international break has now ended. For better or for worse, Leicester City fans will be treated to more Foxes action. We can only hope that it's for the better, of course.
This weekend, Leicester City host Chelsea in the Premier League. It is the first time the two sides have locked horns since Enzo Maresca moved from the East Midlands to London.
Of course, with Maresca soon followed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Thankfully, they were the only two names to move from Leicester to Chelsea in the summer. We can only hope they don't come back to haunt us.
As pointed out by the Chelsea Chronicle, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's chances of making his first league start for Chelsea have been boosted ahead of this weekend. This is due to an injury crisis in the midfield, which could see the likes of Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo all unfit.
Therefore, the stage is set for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Chelsea fans could finally see the former Leicester star-boy handed his first Premier League start since joining. Unfortunately, it would be at the expense of his former club.
KDH has put in some impressive performances, both in the cup and in Europe. In fact, KDH has already scored his first Chelsea goal, in the UEFA Conference League against Gent.
So, he has been slowly creeping up the Chelsea pecking order. He does not need to convince Enzo Maresca, who is his biggest supporter. He only needed to prove himself to the Stamford Bridge, which he has seemingly done already.
Of course, we can only hope that KDH's return to the King Power Stadium makes him regret the transfer away from the club.
