All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea as they prepare to face Everton.
Chelsea are now preparing for their final trip to Goodison Park - barring any cup draws - taking on Everton on Sunday after taking care of business in the Conference League on Thursday night. The Blues have a chance of going top for Christmas day with a win on Sunday and a Liverpool defeat, and they have never not won the title when being top on December 25.
It will be interesting to see how the Blues manage the pressure of the title race over the coming weeks, with fixtures now piling up. Here we round up all the latest news and tansfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.
Injury blowsChelsea have been dealt a triple injury blow ahead of Sunday's clash with Everton, with Romeo Lavia ruled out, as well as Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill, who remains out for some time.
"Romeo probably will struggle to play Sunday," Maresca has said. "We will see. It depends." On the defensive duo, he added: "Both are still out and both will still be out for a long period."
Goalkeeper deal on the cardsChelsea will reportedly target a goalkeeper in the coming months, with claims Maresca is not convinced by Robert Sanchez. Bild say Borussia Dortmund stopper Gregor Kobel is of interest, though the deal would be for the summer, with Dortmund not willing to sell in the winter.
The Blues splashed out to sign Filip Jorgensen as a back-up in the summer, so it would be an indictment of sorts on how Maresca sees his level if he was to sign another new number one. It's claimed Kobel would cost as much as PS55million, so it would be a statement signing for the Blues, and certainly a surprising one, with Djorde Petrovic also signed in recent times. The Blues have a wealth of goalkeepers at their disposal already, though seven of them are already out on loan.
