Rory Jennings is gutted to see Everton leave Goodison Park and is concerned about Chelsea's trip to Merseyside on Sunday.

As a Chelsea fan, the talkSPORT pundit admitted that he would be glad to see the Blues win "ugly" at Goodison Park on 22 December, considering it is one of the most difficult stadiums to visit.

He reckons the atmosphere during the game will be tense and is of the view that a win at the historical stadium would solidify Chelsea's title credentials.

"If we can go to Goodison Park and get a win, however it comes, doesn't matter if it's ugly", he said on talkSPORT (20 December, 9:41 pm).

"There's no such thing as a bad win there, right? I'm always of the belief that going to Goodison is a tough game. I think Goodison is one of the best, I'm kind of gutted they are leaving there.

"I think it is one of the best away grounds in the country and it's a shame that they're moving on, I wish him sort of the best as they do that.

"But, if we can go and get a win there, I think that's a real statement from us, I really do.

"I think it's almost one of the biggest statements that you can make, going to Goodison when it's tough, they have their backs against the wall, the atmosphere is going to be about as ruckus as it will be anywhere this weekend in the Premier League."

Sean Dyche planning Everton upset v Chelsea The Merseyside-based club have more than one reason to be positive for their clash against Chelsea.

There is an air of positivity around Goodison Park after The Friedkin Group's proposed takeover finally went through this week.

Sean Dyche's side are also high on confidence after holding Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium last Saturday (14 December).

Everton have picked up four points from their last two games and will be hopeful of earning more when Enzo Maresca's side visit them this weekend.

It is worth noting that the Toffees are still placed 16th in the Premier League, sitting just three points above the relegation zone, albeit with a game in hand.

It now remains to be seen if they can get the Friedkin era off to a flying start by taking points off Chelsea on Sunday.

In other Everton news, this Toffees ace has sent a four-word message to Dele Alli as his Goodison exit is finalised.
