'If he thinks that, he's deluded': TalkSPORT pundit reacts to what he's seen from angry 23-year-old Chelsea player

TalkSPORT pundit Dean Ashton wasn't impressed by what he saw from an angry Kai Havertz in Chelsea's 4-1 defeat against Manchester United last night.

It was yet another miserable evening for Chelsea's players, who were battered at Old Trafford in their penultimate game of the Premier League season.

Blues caretaker manager Frank Lampard watched his side waste chance after chance in front of goal, which has been a common theme throughout the campaign for this group of players. On top of that, they were defensively all over the place and victims of their own downfall.

It was certainly a game to forget in defence for Wesley Fofana. Jamie Redknapp labelled it a "horror" performance from 22-year-old Fofana at centre-back.

The 23-year-old once again looked pretty ineffective when leading the line, so we doubt anybody was that surprised when he was substituted off in the 64th minute.

Interestingly, the television cameras did pick the German attacker up kicking a water bottle and venting his frustration when he came off the pitch.

Pundit Dean Ashton delivered his instant reaction during commentary to the Chelsea forward's tantrum.

Ashton told talkSPORT: "Can Havertz genuinely say, 'I don't deserve to be taken off'? If he thinks that, he's deluded."

In fairness, Havertz can't complain with his early substitution after his contribution.

We know that he's not playing in his best role as the centre-forward spearheading the attack, but he's got to be offering so much more when it comes to his finishing.

The fact that Joao Felix came on the pitch to replace him and scored a wonderful goal vindicates Lampard's decision.
