Chelsea could soon have the opportunity to sign one striker who they have a long-standing interest in.
That is according to a report from TEAMtalk.
Chelsea appear to have a few different names on their list right now as they consider signing a new No.
9, including Napoli's Victor Osimhen.
And Borussia Dortmund's Youssoufa Moukoko may be another option, with TEAMtalk claiming that he is set for talks with his club about a potential loan move.
The same outlet has also stated that Chelsea have a long-standing interest in the 19-year-old.
However, the Germany international is not really what Chelsea need right now, while it looks like a loan move is more likely than a permanent deal at this moment in time.
Mauricio Pochettino has Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja, who are only a few years older than Moukoko.
MORE CHELSEA STORIESChelsea's next centre-forward signing needs to be someone who is proven; otherwise, they risk facing the same problem as the season goes on: struggling to score goals.
Jackson has come to life recently, but before then Pochettino's men were having some real difficulties in front of goal.
So far this term, they have failed to score against Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Brentford.
It is hard to see how signing Moukoko fixes that.
Maybe later down the line after he becomes a mature striker.
But Chelsea need that now and are probably better off with just continuing to rely on Jackson and Broja if they cannot get the finished article, which Moukoko is not just yet.
It is something the club need to bear in mind ahead of January.
