Brad Collins kept a clean sheet in his first league outing for the Sky Blues, in a goalless draw against Stoke City.

Brad was brought into the starting eleven against the Potters, for only his second start since his summer arrival from Barnsley.

Collins slotted in, with familiar faces in front of him, in the form of former Barnsley duo, Liam Kitching and Bobby Thomas.

Speaking after the game, Collins gave his reaction to the draw and having to bide his time for a starting berth.

On the performance...

"I think first of all it is a good point and a clean sheet to go with it. I think we would have liked to win the game and I feel we had enough chances to win it.

"Listen, we have got to start somewhere, we have had a tough run lately so it is good to get a clean sheet and a point.

"It was important to get a clean sheet and now we can build on this."

Stopping the losing run...

"It has been a tough period coming back from the last international break, but thanks to a clean sheet and a draw we can look further on now."

His league debut...

"Of course I have had to wait, that is a part of being a goalkeeper sometimes. I am happy to play my first game in the Championship for Coventry.

"I play football because I want to play football, I have always said that. But sometimes the life of a goalkeeper does not go like that.

"It has been frustrating but I am happy to get my chance and get the clean sheet."

Missed chances...

"The main thing is we are still creating big chances. The goals will definitely come and it is a matter of time. When things start to click, I think it will all come good.

"The boys were terrific and I think they executed the game play really well. We had chances to win the game and better ones than they had. It is just about putting them away and I am sure they will come."

On his relationship with Ben Wilson...

"We get on really really well! Obviously, it is a tough situation, when you do get on well with someone and the gaffer chances it. I am just looking to take that opportunity.

"He got the clean sheet record for Coventry last year so that is an amazing thing to have and he was in the Team of the Year too so I knew it would not be easy and I would have to bide my time.

"It has been a while since I played proper football because I got injured last year in February. Today was I think my first game back since then so I'm delighted."

Having former Barnsley teammates (Bobby Thomas and Liam Kitching) in front of him...

"We played a lot together last season obviously. Bob came in January last year so I did not have many games with him. But Liam, I have been playing with for round about three years so I know his game inside out and he knows mine.

It is good to have familiar faces in front of me, especially when we are having a tough rut as a squad."

On another international break...

"That is probably the only down side to today. It is a shame I now cannot go on and play Tuesday and Saturday but we have some big games after the break to put right and build on."
