Members News: ‘Mosquito’ Sees Mark’s Men Make Potters Draw
Source:Ccfpa

On Armistice Day 2023 we had an extra 'special guest' at the CBS Arena for the Sky Blues' Championship clash with Stoke City. 'Il Messi di Malta' (aka 'the Mosquito') former Sky Blues diminutive Maltese forward Michael Mifsud was over from the George Cross Island to revisit Cov and also take in the upcoming Euro international between his country and England. Making his debut as our 'special' Michael was in great demand in the stadium from fans and former player colleagues for chats and selfies. He received a very warm welcome wherever he went doing various media interviews and doing Q&As around the stadium's supporters' lounges in the main stand with club host Brian'Harry' Roberts.

Michael & 'Harry' settle down to watch the game.

He made and renewed links with a number of former player colleagues including fellow Sky Blue favourite (and fellow CCFPA member) Dele Adebola who came over for the game especially to see his old pal. Below we offer a number of pics from yesterday's game featuring Michael's visit and some of our othere ex Sky Blues at the game, where Mark Robins' men stopped the rot of four successive defeats, missed a hatful of chances, and gained a goal-less draw with the Potters.

After the game Michael was given a great reception from fans as he joined CCFPA's Billy Bell on stage in Lady Gs in the G-Casino - more on this (and a wonderful gift to Billy from the Maltese international) tomorrow.....

Michael obviously appreciated the welcome given to him as he joine Billy on stage.

Thanks Michael, you did us proud and don't leave it so long before you visit us again!

Thanks to CCFPA's Mike Young, Steve Dorrington, Billy Bell & Ed Blackaby for sourcin the images. Share Post
