Crystal Palace had a very busy deadline day with four new signings coming through the door.

The Eagles signed a pair of central defenders in Trevoh Chalobah and Maxence Lacroix to bolster the ranks after the departure of Joachim Andersen to Fulham for PS30m.

Matt Turner also arrived from Nottingham Forest to replace the outgoing Sam Johnstone in goal after he joined Wolves.

But of all the additions in a busy summer, it was Eddie Nketiah who was the marquee signing. Costing PS25m in a deal from Arsenal to bolster the striking options at the club.

Joel Ward reviews Eddie Nketiah's impact Speaking this week on talkSPORT, Crystal Palace club captain Joel Ward was discussing a variety of different subjects from around Selhurst Park.

One conversation topic was outgoings at Selhurst Park and here Ward explained his thoughts on Crystal Palace's decision to sell Andersen.

Following this, the Crystal Palace No.2 was discussing the arrival of Nketiah to Crystal Palace.

"I am excited by that [signing Nketiah], really excited by that. I think what he is going to offer us is something different."

Ward is absolutely spot on about this as well, as Nketiah is a completely different kind of striker to Jean-Philippe Mateta and has the potential to be levels above the quality Crystal Palace spent PS25m on.

How will Crystal Palace's attack look against Leicester City Nketiah was not registered in time to face Chelsea after deadline day, but heading toward Saturday's game against Chelsea there is a very good chance that he will be in action.

With no international football, Nketiah has had almost two full weeks in training with Oliver Glasner which will have him match fit, firing and ready to go this weekend, it will just be a question of if he is chosen to start or not.

Mateta has looked off the pace in the Premier League so far, failing to score in three outings and therefore Nketiah could start.

However, the more likely option could be that both start with Ebere Eze behind them.

At home against newly promoted Leicester City - which sees Jordan Ayew returning to Selhurst Park - this is the time to field an attack-minded line-up.
