Journalist moots Wander & Moshiri 'Behaviour' at Everton risks reaction from authorities
Source:Goodisonnews

The "presumptive behaviour" of Josh Wander and Farhad Moshiri at the Everton in over Burnley may not go down well with the authorities overseeing the proposed takeover, according to The esk.

Moshiri attended his first home game since January for the 3-0 victory in the Carabao Cup fourth round alongside the man seeking to replace him at the top of the club, but the regulators whom the American company are currently trying to satisfy are tipped to be unimpressed by the public display.

The esk wrote: "I wonder what the regulators, The FCA and Premier League think of this form of presumptive behaviour by Josh Wander attending Everton matches as if approval is a given?"It frankly seems a bit of a stretch that the current owner being seen publicly at a game with the prospective new one could have a material effect on the takeover process, especially when there is presumably some unity between the two parties after having reached an agreement between themselves.

Even if the relevant authorities found it irritating there really looks to be nothing to it that they could factor into their decisions on allowing 777 to proceed.

Ultimately their regulatory processes should be based on facts and figures, in terms of available funding, where it is coming from, and so on.

Perhaps Moshiri and Wander know more than has become public and they are indeed confident that approval will be given, but either way it shouldn't change the anything in the process that they appeared united at the ground.

There have been no shortage of doubts and questions raised over the future of the club, the suitability, or indeed the capability, of 777 as the potential new owners, or what might happen if the deal doesn't get the green light.

But it seems pretty unlikely that this adds to any of that, and while none of those questions should go unanswered it is arguably a positive image, for once, to see both sides of a long-awaited move in attendance at a Toffees match that was comfortably won.

There finally looks to be some positive progression on the pitch under Sean Dyche, and supporters just want to see the same off it now.

In other Everton news, pundits fear a Toffees star could now be "on his way" in January as multiple clubs are linked to a move.
