Fleetwood Town forward Jack Marriott spoke to the media after scoring a brace against Blackpool in the Fylde Coast Derby match at Highbury.

Marriott scored a 90th-minute equaliser which meant both the Cod Army and the Seasiders had to share the points in the Sky Bet League One clash on Wednesday night.

Here's what Jack had to say after scoring his brace against Blackpool:

On being disappointed with just a point...

"I think the general consensus is that we are all pretty disappointed, we got back into it, but we felt that we shouldn't have put ourselves in that position in the first place. Coming in at half-time 2-0 up, we've got to manage the game better in the second half.

"We knew they were going to throw everything at us, they made a few changes, which we had to adapt to, but although it was just frustrating, at least we aren't walking away with nothing. In terms of the management of the game, we need to be solid in our game plan.

"We need to be solid and not concede, ride the wave almost and put bodies on the line, which we did for the majority of the game, apart from that 10-15-minute period after the second half so that was disappointing for us."

On scoring more goals at Highbury...

"I think it's a confidence thing, we're trying to press and win the ball high up the pitch and want to get at team especially at home in front of our fans, and we want to make it enjoyable for us - we want to win games and push up the league.

"You can only do that by winning games and scoring goals so that's a pleasing thing that we did score three goals tonight but, as I've mentioned before, we're just disappointed we've conceded three and have only picked up a point.

"When Danny [Mayor] gets the ball, you know as front players that he going to look to try and find us with through passes, he's played a great ball into me and I've taken my first touch away from the defender and I was just thinking, hit it."

On the squad playing for the manager...

"The gaffer told us in there that we've lost two in nine which is a good trait to have, we don't want to lose games. If we aren't going to win them, don't lose them, but I think the feeling in that dressing room is disappointment that we haven't got nine points from the last three.

"We all want to learn, and the manager is very honest with us, just as he is with you guys and I think that's important. We've got to take what he says on board, learn from it, keep listening to him and kick on.

"We've seen the potential in spells, it's just about gaining that consistency for a full - I think it was over 100 minutes tonight - we've got to try and do it for the duration of games, however long they may be."
