Ipswich Town have enjoyed a remarkable start to their Championship campaign - and stats show they are right at the top of European football in terms of form.
The Blues have won six of their opening seven matches back in the second tier, continuing their incredible momentum from last season, when they finished the campaign on a run of 19 games unbeaten.
Tuesday's night's win at Southampton lifted them into elite company as far as the calendar year of 2023 goes too.
Because only Town and European champions Manchester City can boast at least 20 league wins in English football since January 1.

- bet365 (@bet365) September 19, 2023 Pep Guardiola's City have 22 victories from 27 matches, while the Blues now have 20 from 29.
However, if you look at the form guide for the last 20 games across the whole of Europe, not even City can claim to be on a better run than the rampaging Blues.
While the sides have identical records (P20, W17, D2, L1, 53 pts), Town have the edge on goal difference.
They've bagged 53 strikes and conceded just 11 for a +42 goal difference, while City have scored 49 and seen 13 hit their net for a goal difference of 'just' +36.

"For us to come here as a newly-promoted team, against a team who have just come down from the Premier League, and perform how we did, show the quality that we did and show the resilience that we did to get a result like that - we need to enjoy these nights as whole club, supporters, players, everyone involved."
