Ally McCoist was in stitches after an Everton fan gave a commentary account of Michael Keane's goal against Ipswich Town on Saturday (19 October).

The 31-year-old centre-back was an unlikely goalscorer as the Toffees claimed an important 2-0 win at Portman Road, seeing them climb five points above the relegation zone.

Keane has been criticised for some of his performances so far this season, having to deputise in Jarrad Branthwaite's absence, but the defender sent the portion of away fans into pandemonium with his strike.

Speaking live via talkSPORT on Monday (21 October, 9:24am), Everton fan, Steve, screamed down the phone: "McNeil's got it on the edge, he's done two players, has seen Michael Keane, slid him in and there's only ever one result. Boom, 2-0."

Unable to contain his laughter, McCoist chuckled: "Steve, hold on a minute. It seems as though my job's in jeopardy here," to which Jeff Stelling added: "I feel like I'm at Portman Road right now."

Everton claim important win v Ipswich Town Following an abysmal first four matches of the new Premier League campaign, Sean Dyche looks to have quietly turned things around at Goodison Park.

The Toffees have claimed eight points from their last four matches, beating Crystal Palace and Ipswich as well as drawing with Leicester and Newcastle United.

Despite all the criticism so far this season, Keane looks to have silenced his doubters at Portman Road, at least for this game week anyway, also helping to keep a clean sheet versus the Tractor Boys.

With Fulham, Southampton and West Ham upcoming, Dyche's side must remain focused and attempt to secure as many points as possible from these games before the hectic Christmas period hits.

In other Everton news, Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist were stunned by what they saw a Toffees player do.
