As Ruben Amorim sets up the desk in his new Carrington office, focus will soon turn to his Manchester United debut away to Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon.
And, as Amorim took training at Carrington for the first time on Monday, a few brief clips offered a glimpse into Manchester United's likely gameplan at Portman Road.
Ruben Amorim insisted, during his first ever interview with United's in-house media channel last week, that the Red Devils supporters can expect to see a team with his stamp upon it right from the off.
And, as the United players were put through their paces in Amorim's favoured 3-4-2-1 system on the training pitch, it appears that the formation which provided the foundations for Sporting's success under the 39-year-old Iberian will be immediately imparted onto the squad he inherits from Erik ten Hag.
Amorim appeared to use Tyrell Malacia and Antony as wing-backs during his pre-Ipswich preparations. Of course, neither player is likely to start there away to Kieran McKenna's team in East Anglia.
Noussair Mazraoui or Diogo Dalot will line up on the left, presumably, as Malacia looks to build up his fitness after that injury nightmare. On the right, meanwhile, it is expected that Amad Diallo will be given the chance to continue his fine form from the brief Ruud van Nistelrooy era.
Sources close to the Red Devils have reportedly claimed that Amad will likely feature on the team sheet at Ipswich, though it remains to be seen if the Ivory Coast international will play as a right-sided wing-back or as the right-sided number ten in Amorim's narrow front three.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Amad's intelligence in possession and his wonderful interplay in tight spaces could make the former Sunderland loanee a perfect fit as one of the 'dual tens'. Then again, the Man United-linked Geovany Quenda shone under Amorim as a left-footed, right-sided wing-back holding the width and playing through balls in behind for the rampaging Viktor Gyokeres.
It is not difficult to imagine a player of Amad's technical and tactical qualities adapting impressively to that role too.
Amorim hopeful over Luke Shaw return at Man United Give Me Sport, meanwhile, add that Luke Shaw - on the opposite flank - will be given the chance to stake his claim once the long-serving leftie finally recovers from an injury which has kept him out of action for the entire campaign so far.
Shaw returned to Man United's training pitch a fortnight ago. And while Amorim will obviously look to manage his fitness and avoid risking a setback - he has reportedly been given 'detailed briefings' on Shaw's situation - the former Sporting boss is determined to give the 29-year-old a chance to make himself a key part of his plans.
Shaw, of course, is one of the Man United stars who looks best suited to Amorim's new-look set-up.
Either as a left-sided wing-back or as the left-sided central defender in the back three, a fully-fit Luke Shaw could genuinely thrive in the post-Ten Hag era. Then again, a fully fit Luke Shaw is something Man United just haven't seen regularly enough over the years.
