Preston North End drew 2-2 at home to Southampton in the Championship last night. Preston North End welcomed an in form Southampton to Deepdale last night, where Ryan Lowe's side ended up sharing the points.

Southampton had the lead at half-time before equalising after the break through Milutin Osmajic, with Brad Potts then scoring soon after, only for a Ched Evans own goal to make it 2-2 right in the last minute.

Osmajic didn't start the game but was instead brought on at half-time for another summer signing in Mads Frokjaer who struggled to have an impact on the night.

And Osmajic was influential in the game. He changed the tempo immediately and even provided the assist for Potts' goal soon after he netted his second league goal of the campaign.

Lancashire Post rated his performance an 8.5/10, with journalist George Hodgson adding:

"A thunderous equalising goal and delicate assist for Potts. He helped Preston turn the game on its head in the space of three minutes and should take great confidence from it."

Preston remain in 4th place of the Championship table, with Southampton a point behind in 5th.

A new talisman for Preston... Osmajic hasn't started since before the international break. But his performance last night will certainly give Lowe something to consider going forward.

He changed the game almost immediately and looked like he'd put Preston on their way to victory, but for an unfortunate, late own goal gifting Southampton a point.

Preston are now winless in six but remain in a strong position in the Championship table having had two fairly decent draws in their last two outings.

Up next for the Lilywhites is a trip to Hull City this weekend.
