Crystal Palace urged to beat West Ham and Leicester City to 'really good signing' of 68-goal bagsman

Crystal Palace legend Clinton Morrison has urged his former side to push forward with the 'really good signing' of former winger Wilfried Zaha this summer to plug the hole left by the exit of Michael Olise.

Zaha, who joined Galatasaray last summer, has been linked with a sensational return to Selhurst Park just 12 months after leaving the London outfit.

The Guardian last week claimed that the Eagles were 'in talks' with the Turkish side over a loan move for the 31-year-old.

The former Premier League star has been deemed surplus to requirements by Galatasaray, who are keen to ship the player out on a season-long loan.

The report claims that a PS9 million price tag has also been put on the forward, who has 68 Premier League goals, but that a temporary exit is more likely.

Speaking to Betway ahead of Sunday's Premier League opener against Brentford, Morrison reviewed Crystal Palace's summer business so far and explained why Zaha is the kind of player the club still need before the window slams shut.

He said: "That would be a good signing, Wilfried Zaha is Mr.

Crystal Palace.

"He's loved and adored by everyone there, so if the club can get the opportunity to bring Zaha him back, then I think that's a fantastic opportunity.

When you lose someone like Olise, Zaha is a perfect replacement because he knows the club inside out, he has plenty of ability and I think it would be a great move for both parties.

"Usually when you go to a new club it takes time to adjust, it wouldn't with Wilfred Zaha because Crystal Palace is his home.

For me, that's a really good signing and hopefully it can happen.

"Crystal Palace co-owner Steve Parish has also spoken out about links with a return to Selhurst Park for Zaha.

The 59-year-old played down rumours but supporters will know not to take everything at face value with negotiations ongoing.

Parish said: "I'd have Wilf Zaha back in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it'll be possible this summer.
