Several young players trained with Liverpool's first-team ahead of Atalanta tomorrow night, including a 'very special' young midfielder.

All eyes are on tomorrow night for Liverpool. Tomorrow night will either be one of the greatest comebacks in Liverpool's history. Or another disappointing stutter in what has been a terrible month so far for Jurgen Klopp's side.

The Reds will be determined to ensure it's the former rather than the latter, but it won't be easy. Even under Klopp's reign, Liverpool have only ever turned over a goal deficit by two goals or more just once in European football.

That was the famous 4-0 victory over Barcelona. But in the three previous attempts to overturn deficits in knock-out games in Europe since then, Liverpool have failed every single time.

That means they will need to do something Klopp's side hasn't done in five years. It's a big ask, but it's also a golden opportunity for the club's players.

Ahead of the game, Liverpool's players have been training at the AXA training centre today, before travelling to Bergamo.

MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES

On the YouTube footage released on Liverpool's official channel, McConnell can be seen training alongside his Liverpool teammates.

The youngster is perhaps a surprise name in the squad. He is really highly rated and has been described as 'very special' in the past. However, he hasn't featured in a first team game since February.

Since then, he has also not been named in a first team match day squad for over two weeks now. More recently, he was involved earlier this month in an U21 game for Liverpool's side in the Premier League 2 against Blackburn.

It's good to see him back training with the team though. He's clearly a big talent and it's a nice recognition for him to be involved again.

Who were the other Liverpool youngster spotted in training ahead of Atalanta? McConnell was not the only player spotted in first team training of course. Alongside him, Jayden Danns and Bobby Clark also took part in the training session.

Meanwhile, Stefan Bajcetic was also spotted training once again with the first team.

Danns showed off his qualities against Manchester United's U21 side last week, and Bajcetic caught the eye in that game as well. It's good to see them continuing their progress and development.
