Paul Merson has predicted where he believes Mohamed Salah will be playing his football next season amid doubts over his Liverpool future.

Mohamed Salah has had a turbulent season, scoring 18 goals and providing 10 assists for a Liverpool side which spent much of the campaign in the Premier League title race.

Unfortunately, the PS44 million Egyptian's form deserted him at the worst time for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp's side fell away from Arsenal and Manchester City in recent weeks.

Of course, it is going to be a summer of upheaval at Anfield with Klopp leaving as manager - and Paul Merson believes that Salah may follow him out of the door.

Paul Merson predicts Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool this summer Salah has established himself as one of the Premier League greats during his time on Merseyside. But speaking to Sportskeeda, Merson suggested that he cannot see him being part of the Arne Slot era at Liverpool.

Huge question mark over how Arne Slot will approach forward's future It will be so interesting to see how Slot handles Salah's situation when he arrives at Liverpool over the coming months.

He may be someone who wants to limit the amount of changes he oversees initially, particularly with Liverpool competing for the title until very recently and threatening to send Klopp off into the sunset with a quadruple.

On the other hand, he may look at someone like Salah and think it may be the best time to move him on. Salah is not getting any younger, and if he does not suit what he wants, then he is unlikely to be able to adapt his style at this stage of his career.

It would be a gamble to sell Salah, but it may make sense while the Reds fans are prepared to be most patient with him.
