Sunderland's Sporting Director Kristjaan Spearman has been discussing Jack Clarke in a recent Q&A.

Jack Clarke has been an absolute revelation this season for the Black Cats which has left him the target of multiple Premier League sides.

Clarke has been credited with attracting interest from clubs such as Burnley, according to the Sunderland Echo.

Sunderland aren't keen on the idea of losing their 22-year-old gem. Therefore, Clarke has also been touted as being the recipient of a new contract at the Stadium of Light.

However, now Sunderland's Sporting director has shared his verdict on a potential transfer for Clarke.

The supporter asked Speakman if the club would sell the winger for the reported PS20m, with sides such as Crystal Palace and Brighton joining the Clarets in being interested.

To this, Speakman responded saying that "with any offer, we need to make the right decision for the club."

This an answer which gives little away, but does suggest Clarke will be let go but only for the right price in a deal which benefits the club.

How good as Clarke been? Clarke has been excellent, winning the player of the month award for September in the Championship.

Along with this, he has scored eight goals in 14 games through all competitions this season according to TransferMarkt.

This leaves him on-track to beat last seasons record of 11 goals and 14 assists in 50 games.

We do however think Sunderland need a striker in order to allow Clarke to start getting assists on the board again, with Mason Burstow struggling.
