Liverpool face another injury after Chelsea win
Source:Home -

Arsenal welcome Liverpool after a surprising away day in coastal England. The Gunners will be returning to the Premier League after Arteta and Co. suffered a big blow against The Cherries.

In between those matches, both Liverpool and Arsenal have a UEFA Champions League fixture to look at. The Reds travel away to Germany as they'll face RB Leipzig in the European competition.

Having won both their first two matches in Europe, Arne Slot will be looking forward to adding to the tally with another away win after Milan.

Arsenal on the other hand have been granted some luck with both their next matches being at home. The Gunners will welcome Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk at the Emirates as Arteta will want to add another to their winning sheet this time around.

The international break has cramped the Premier League schedule. With players already exhausted from the break, it is no surprise that many clubs are facing injury crises across Europe.

With an already lacking squad, Arne Slot has been dealt with another blow. Diogo Jota took a major blow against Chelsa as the striker was forced off the field in under 30 minutes.

The Portuguese striker was sent to the ground by Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo as the forward took a blow to the ribs. Darwin Nunez replaced Diogo Jota as the latter couldn't continue.

Mikel Arteta will be happy if the striker isn't available for their clash at the Emirates. The Portuguese international has been instrumental to Liverpool's success this season scoring four and assisting two in 10 appearances.

Arsenal having their own injuries to deal with will be given equal ground if Jota doesn't turn up. The Gunners captain Martin Odegaard is expected to return in November.

Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber are doubtful as both missed the away day at Vitality Stadium. Arsenal looked quite shaky in the midfield against Bournemouth with both Odegaard and Saka absent.

William Saliba is a definite miss with the Frenchman picking up a red card against The Cherries. He will face a three-game ban in total after the suspension against Bournemouth.

In Liverpool, Kelleher will continue to play in place of Alisson while Alexis Mac Allister might start after a late cameo against Chelsea. Both clubs will be looking at rotating players in the UCL as they prepare for a fierce clash when the Premier League returns.
