Gary Neville has hit out at Mohamed Salah for a "clear dive" during the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield.

Arne Slot's side picked up an impressive victory at home to go top of the league thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones, while Nicolas Jackson scored for the visitors.

However, prior to Salah's opening goal, the 32-year-old went to ground under the challenge of Levi Colwill, but his shouts were waved away.

Referee John Brooks then booked Slot for his protests against the decision, with replays showing contact between the pair was initiated by the winger.

Neville, meanwhile, was left raging at the Liverpool star for his attempts to win the penalty and called for him to be shown a yellow card.

Speaking live on Sky Sports Main Event (20 October), the former Man United man fumed after re-analysing footage of the controversy: "Just watch Salah, what he tries to do is initiate the contact.
